happy easter

on good friday, i began 40 days towards a purpose-driven life, reading through rick warren's the purpose driven life. days 1 and 3 are okay; i've had some reservations about day 2: "[God ] planned the days of your life ... God left no detail to chance ... Nothing in your life is arbitrary. It's all for a purpose." (p. 23) i don't have a problem with god having complete control of my life. but I need to know more about how free will and evil work within that framework.
